Vitamin B12 is the common name for a nutrient known scientifically as methylcobalamin.It's used as a dietary supplement and to treat certain anemias.Vitamin B12 plays an important role in helping the body make red blood cells.
Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) has been used as an antioxidant for the treatment of diabetes and HIV. It also has been used for cancer, liver ailments, and various other conditions.
Folic acid helps your body produce and maintain new cells, and also helps prevent changes to DNA that may lead to cancer.As a medication, folic acid is used to treat folic acid deficiency and certain types of anemia (lack of red blood cells) caused by folic acid deficiency.
